Lily had quite a cough over Christmas. We had to leave Kansas City early and get her to the doctor. Poor baby girl has pneumonia. But she LOVES her medicine and breathing treatments and couldn't wait to go to the Dr. to have her ears looked in. Maybe she'll be a doctor when she grows up...

Family Christmas

We had our Christmas celebration last night before we spend Christmas with lots of family. We went out to eat where Noah acted perfectly (in anticipation of presents). We decided to go home and sing Christmas carols before opening gifts, but Noah talked us into singing in the car. Noah was so excited by the time we got home that he could barely contain himself:



I was happy that both Noah and Lily loved getting books:



I think Noah especially liked his Superman Laptop.


Lily got some underwear and had to immediately strip down and try them on:



(Although she then had a little accident and requested a diaper).

Santa meets his match

Lily met the big guy for the first time this year. She decided he was "not scary man" and a "nice guy." However, she kept her distance. She talked his ear off and told him that she wants a little couch like Kevin's and makeup. She told him many other random things as she played awkwardly with her fancy dress. Santa is such a nice, patient man.

She did touch his hand and give him five, but she would not sit on his lap.

Blizzard of '06

We were hit with a lot of snow on December 1st. Noah and Nathan had a day off from school. (I'm not sure who was more excited.)

Noah couldn't wait to get out in the snow:



He played in the snow all morning with Emily:



Lily was a little unsure of this white stuff we call snow. She looked at it for a long time with her Jackie:



She talked about it for a long time (and wondered if maybe it was hot and not cold):

But she didn't get much past the garage. Lily didn't like snow on her boots, but she enjoyed eating some snow and looking at it:



Noah is amazed that the snow is still around this morning, and he can't wait to get back out there.
